The Midi Robe was drawn from two entirely different print traditions that arrived at the same silhouette by completely different routes.
Champagne Bloom came from the walled botanical gardens of the Mediterranean — the champagne and sand stone that holds the night's warmth into the morning, the dusty pink and amber florals that push through before the full heat arrives. The garden at its most uncertain and its most beautiful hour simultaneously.
Cobalt Crane came from the painted screen and textile traditions of East Asia — the white crane in flight through botanical abundance, the cobalt sky that is always the most vivid thing in any frame it occupies. The crane does not stay. The garden it leaves is always worth returning to.
